October 2008

Two prints from the Centre Bounce series have been acquired for the permanent collection of the Australian Parliament House in Canberra.

My work has been featured in an article discussing street photography in the latest edition of the Czech Republic photography magazine DIGIfoto. See here, here and here.

September 2008

I am one of 5 photographers shortlisted for the Nikon Reportage Grant for Australian Social Photo-Documentary. The grant is part of the Reportage Festival taking place in Sydney during October - see www.reportage.com.au.

Jesse Marlow has been awarded and begins a 1 year scholarship at Fabrica in Italy.

Jesse Marlow along with Rennie Ellis, Donna Bailey, Grant Hobson and Paul Dunn have work in the exhibition - Australian Rules: around the grounds at Monash Gallery of Art. The show runs from the 7th September to 28th October.

Centre Bounce: Football from Australia's heart is currently on show at Tandanya - National Aboriginal Cultural Institute in Adelaide. The show runs until July 22nd. 253 Grenfell Street, Adelaide in South Australia. The exhibition is a Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery Touring Exhibition, and is curated by Annette Welkamp, Director, Cultural Connotations.

Marlow will be speaking alongside David Callow and Chris Beck at the Truth and Consequence seminar at the 2007 Dayelsford Foto Biennale. Saturday June 16th, 1pm-4pm at the Dayelsford Neighbourhood Centre.

Jesse Marlow is a finalist in the Leica Gallery Melbourne Photography Award, on show at the Leica Gallery Melbourne from 9th March - 4th of April 2007. 20 Smith St, Collingwood, Victoria.

Jesse Marlow is a finalist in the 2007 Julie Millowick Acquisitive Photographic Prize which is being held at the Old Castlemaine Gaol as part of the Castlemaine State Festival, Victoria. 31st March - 12th April 2007.
